This Privacy Policy describes how Prosta collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data when you use the prosta.app website (prosta.uz redirects to it) and the Prosta mobile applications (the "Platform"). It applies to Customers, Business Owners (Providers) and their staff, website visitors, and anyone who contacts us.

Prosta processes personal data as the data operator within the meaning of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Personal Data" No. ZRU-547 of 2 July 2019, as amended (the "Personal Data Law"), and, for users located in the European Union / European Economic Area, as the data controller within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the "GDPR").

We follow the principle of data minimization: we collect only the data we actually need to run the Platform, and nothing more.

1. Data We Collect

1.1. Sign-in and account data

The Platform is passwordless. There is no registration form and we never collect or store passwords. You sign in with a one-time code (OTP) sent to your email or phone, or through Telegram, Google, or Apple ID. Your first sign-in automatically creates your account.

For Customers, we store only:

  • name;
  • email address;
  • phone number;
  • city (used to show you relevant Providers);
  • the sign-in method you used (e.g., Google, Apple, Telegram, email, phone) and the technical identifier provided by that service for authentication purposes only.

One-time codes are short-lived, single-use, and are not retained after verification.

For Business Owners (Providers), we additionally store:

  • business name and business address (published on the Platform by design, so Customers can find and visit the venue);
  • the owner's/contact person's name, email address, and phone number;
  • business profile content: services, prices, durations, operating hours, and gallery photos.

We do not collect date of birth, gender, identity documents, or any special categories of personal data (health, biometric identification data, religious or political views). If you voluntarily mention health-related information in a booking comment (e.g., an allergy), it is processed solely to fulfill that booking and pass it to the Provider.

1.2. Gallery and AI Look photos

If you upload photos to your Prosta gallery or use the AI Look feature, those photos and any generated results are stored in your gallery, under your control. They are not published, shared, or used for any other purpose. You can delete individual photos at any time, and they are deleted together with your account. Photos uploaded to AI Look are processed only to generate the visualization you requested. Do not upload photos of other people without their consent.

1.3. Booking data

When you book, we process the booking details: selected Provider, services, staff member, date and time, your comments, status (confirmed, completed, cancelled, no-show), and related in-app communications. Reviews and ratings you choose to publish are also stored.

1.4. Payment data

Prosta does not collect, receive, or store payment card details. Where online payment is available, it is handled entirely by a licensed external payment service provider; card data is entered on and stored by the payment provider's side, under its own terms and PCI DSS requirements. Prosta receives only the transaction status, amount, date, and a masked reference needed to match the payment to your booking. The payment provider handling your transaction is identified at checkout.

1.5. Data collected automatically

To keep the Platform working, secure, and improving, we automatically process: IP address, device type, operating system and app/browser version, language, crash logs, and usage events (screens viewed, searches, taps). Precise geolocation is processed only if you grant permission at the device level (to show nearby Providers) and you can revoke it at any time in device settings. Cookies and similar technologies are described in Section 9.

3. Data Storage and Localization (Uzbekistan)

3.1

Under the Personal Data Law as amended with effect from 27 March 2026 (Law No. ZRU-1125), mandatory storage on servers located in Uzbekistan applies only to specific categories of personal data — in particular biometric and genetic data and certain telecommunications-operator data. Prosta does not collect biometric or genetic data and is not a telecommunications operator, so no data we process falls under the mandatory localization categories.

3.2

Other personal data (such as your name, email address, phone number, and city) may lawfully be stored and processed on secure servers outside Uzbekistan, provided the statutory conditions are met: compliance with established information security requirements, adherence to international personal data protection standards, and oversight by the authorized state bodies of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Prosta stores personal data on secure cloud infrastructure meeting these conditions, with the safeguards described in Sections 8 and 10.

4. Who Can Access Your Data

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with any third party for that party's own purposes. Access to personal data is limited to the following:

4.1

Providers you book with. When you make a booking, the Provider receives your name, contact details, and the booking information — solely to deliver the appointment. Providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own marketing or sharing it further without your separate consent.

4.2

Payment providers. If you pay online, the payment itself is processed by a licensed external payment service provider on its own systems (identified at checkout). Card details never pass through or reside with Prosta.

4.3

Infrastructure service providers acting only on our instructions (processors) — the technical vendors any modern app requires to function: cloud hosting and database infrastructure, SMS/email delivery services for sending your OTP codes and booking notifications, push notification delivery, crash reporting, and analytics. These vendors process data strictly under our instructions and data processing agreements, cannot use it for their own purposes, and are bound by confidentiality.

4.4

State authorities — only where disclosure is required by the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan or other applicable law, pursuant to a lawful and binding request (court, law enforcement, tax authority), or where necessary to protect the rights and safety of Prosta, our users, or the public, or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

4.5

Business transfers. If Prosta is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred to the successor under confidentiality obligations; this Privacy Policy will continue to apply and you will be notified of any change of operator.

No one else has access to your personal data.

5. Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above, then delete or irreversibly anonymize it. Both Uzbek law and the GDPR require that retention be limited and justified; our periods are:

  • Account data (name, email, phone, city): for the life of your account. After account deletion, deleted within 30 days, except the minimum records listed below.
  • Inactive accounts: if you have not signed in for 24 consecutive months, we will notify you at your registered contact details; if you do not sign in within 30 days of the notice, the account and its data are deleted or anonymized.
  • Gallery and AI Look photos: until you delete them or your account is deleted — you control them.
  • Booking records: 3 years from the booking date, matching the general limitation (claims) period under the Civil Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan, for dispute resolution and consumer protection purposes.
  • Payment and settlement records: 5 years, as required by tax and accounting legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
  • Reviews: for the life of the reviewed Provider profile; after your account is deleted, your reviews are anonymized (your name is removed).
  • Support correspondence and claims: 3 years after resolution (limitation period).
  • Technical logs (IP, device, security logs): up to 12 months.
  • Marketing consent and opt-out records: for as long as needed to prove that consent existed or was withdrawn.

If data is subject to ongoing litigation, an investigation, or a binding preservation obligation, it is retained until the matter concludes, then deleted.

6. Your Rights

Under the Personal Data Law and, where applicable, the GDPR, you have the right to:

6.1

Access — confirmation of processing and a copy of your data;

6.2

Correction — fixing inaccurate or incomplete data (you can edit your name, email, phone, and city directly in the app);

6.3

Deletion ("right to be forgotten") — deletion of your data where no overriding legal ground requires retention;

6.4

Restriction / blocking — temporary limitation of processing in the cases provided by law;

6.5

Objection — objecting to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time with immediate effect;

6.6

Withdrawal of consent — at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing;

6.7

Data portability — receiving your data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format;

6.8

Complaint — lodging a complaint with the authorized personal data protection body of the Republic of Uzbekistan or, for EU/EEA residents, with your local supervisory authority (for example, UODO in Poland).

To exercise these rights, contact support@prosta.uz from your registered email, or use in-app support. We may verify your identity first. We respond within one month (30 days) — the GDPR standard — or within any shorter period required by Uzbek law for a specific request type; for complex requests the period may be extended with an explanation, as permitted by law. Exercising your rights is free of charge.

7. Account Deletion

7.1

You can delete your account and data at any time:

  • In the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account;
  • By emailing support@prosta.uz from your registered email or phone-verified request.
7.2

Upon a verified request, your account is deactivated immediately and your personal data is deleted or anonymized within 30 days, in line with the GDPR's "without undue delay" standard. We retain only what the law requires us to keep (payment and accounting records — Section 5), in restricted storage, and delete it when its retention period expires.

7.3

Deleting the app from your device does not delete your account — use one of the methods above.

8. International Data Transfers

8.1

As described in Section 3, the data we collect is not subject to mandatory localization in Uzbekistan, and our infrastructure vendors (Section 4.3) may operate outside Uzbekistan, including in the EU/EEA and the USA.

8.2

Any cross-border transfer takes place only: (a) under the conditions of the Personal Data Law as amended — to jurisdictions ensuring an adequate level of protection (per the list to be approved by the Cabinet of Ministers), or on another lawful basis such as your consent, contractual safeguards, or compliance with recognized international data protection standards; and (b) for data of EU/EEA users, under GDPR Chapter V safeguards — an adequacy decision or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses concluded with the relevant vendor, with supplementary measures where needed.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

9.1

We use cookies, SDKs, and local storage to: keep you signed in; remember your language and city; ensure security and prevent fraud; and understand aggregate usage so we can improve the Platform.

9.2

Categories: strictly necessary (sign-in, security — cannot be disabled), functional (preferences), and analytics. Analytics that require consent under EU rules (ePrivacy/GDPR) are activated for EU users only after consent via the cookie banner.

9.3

You can manage cookies in your browser settings and via our cookie settings where offered, and reset or limit mobile advertising identifiers in your device settings. Disabling some cookies may impair sign-in or other features.

10. Data Security

10.1

We apply technical and organizational measures appropriate to the risk, including: passwordless OTP authentication (no password database to breach); encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest; role-based access on a least-privilege basis; environment segregation; logging and monitoring; regular backups; vulnerability management; confidentiality obligations for personnel; data processing agreements with all vendors; and a documented incident response procedure.

10.2

If a personal data breach occurs, we will act in accordance with applicable law: for EU/EEA users' data, notifying the competent supervisory authority within 72 hours where required by Art. 33 GDPR and affected users without undue delay where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to them; and notifying the authorized Uzbek body and affected users as required by the Personal Data Law.

10.3

Keep your email inbox, phone number, and Telegram/Google/Apple accounts secure — they are the keys to your Prosta account. Never share one-time codes with anyone; Prosta staff will never ask for your OTP.

11. Children

The Platform is intended for persons aged 16 and older (consistent with Art. 8 GDPR and our Terms of Service). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, contact support@prosta.uz and we will delete it promptly.

12. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites and services (Provider pages, social media, payment provider checkout pages, map services). Their processing of your data is governed by their own privacy policies; we are not responsible for their practices.

13. Marketing Communications

13.1

We send marketing messages (offers, promotions, news) via push, SMS, email, or messaging apps only with your consent.

13.2

You can opt out at any time via notification settings in the app, the unsubscribe link in emails, or by contacting support. Opt-outs take effect without undue delay.

13.3

Transactional messages (OTP codes, booking confirmations, reminders, security alerts) are an integral part of the Service and are sent regardless of marketing preferences while your account is active.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version, with its "Last updated" date, is always available on the Platform. For material changes we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect; where a new purpose of processing requires consent, we will request it separately. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
